Grecio (Greg) Sandoval, PhD, joined the George Washington University Biostatistics Center in August 2014 as a statistician for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network. He is also a statistician for the Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis by Genomic Sequencing, a study evaluating the impact of prenatal sequencing on clinical management and healthcare utilization and costs. Dr. Sandoval has coordinated and managed multiple NIH-funded multi-site research projects and has performed numerous statistical analyses for the MFMU Network. Prior to joining the Biostatistics Center, Dr. Sandoval was an industry biostatistician at a contract research organization where he developed expertise in statistical programming and gained experience in the conduct of clinical trials research.

Dr. Sandoval received his PhD in Biostatistics from the George Washington University where his dissertation research focused on cost-efficient clinical study designs. His research interests include the design of clinical trial and epidemiological studies, cost-effectiveness analysis, and healthcare resource utilization.
