Perceptions of the coordinating center: Foreword

Publication Description
The relationships between the coordinating center of a clinical trial and its participants are discussed from the viewpoint of the principal investigator, the clinic coordinator, the project officer, the advisory board and the external site visitor. These perceptions of the coordinating center stress the need for cooperation, proper management of the clinical trial by the coordinating center, proper internal management of the coordinating center, and external monitoring of coordinating center operations.
