Dr. Pan joined the Biostatistics Center in June 2008 with a joint position at the Department of Statistics. She completed her Ph.D. in 2007 in Biostatistics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she worked on the Prospective Payment System for End Stage Renal Disease and Scientific Registry of Translation Recipients. At the Biostatistics Center, Dr. Pan works on the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcome Studies, the Antibacterial Resistance Leadership Group, and the Redefining Anemia Projects funded by the Gates Foundation. Dr. Pan’s research focuses on novel statistical and machine learning methods motivated by real life problems in biology and medicine including survival analysis, electronic health records, network analysis and “omics” data, with peer-reviewed publications in both statistical and clinical journals. She regularly serves as a reviewer for grant panels, scientific journals and conference programs as well as AE for several journals including JASA/TAS book reviews, Statistics & Public Policy. She also collaborates extensively on NIH and FDA projects.   More Information
